My name is Carl Stanley. I am a Senior Network/Systems Engineer for a small New England college. 20 years in Information Technology has taught me that it’s impossible to be an expert in all things IT. Though for many of us who manage IT infrastructures, we are expected to be just that. If we try hard enough, we might be good enough in a couple of focused areas to be considered “experts.” But for everything else, we have to rely on each other through online communities, forums, listservs, conferences etc… We frequently lean on the good work of others to solve difficult problems. The purpose of this site is to give back what I can. I hope to help others in their search for answers as they have helped me.
